Living Word provides several opportunities for you to serve in our community. We have established local partnerships and support them through: fundraising, participating in serve days, and making commitments to volunteer at their organizations. Your generosity makes an incredible impact.

Living Works is the name for our ongoing in-house outreach that serves others primarily through volunteering our time outdoors to prune, weed-eat, mulch, haul, trim, and beautify homes and beyond. Locations and scope will change throughout the year. If your primary way of serving others is through acts of service, this is for you. Local Partnerships

Hearts and Hammers - We support this great organization’s mission: Neighbors helping Neighbors through providing a central hub for their annual workday, sending over 150 community members out to fix, restore, and serve 10-15 applicants homes in need.

Oak Harbor School District - Children are our future. Through an ongoing partnership with our local school system, we are able to meet needs through food/supply drives, providing people and candy for the annual Spook Harbor Trunk or Treat, and more.

Whidbey Island Women’s Clinic- WIWC provides compassionate care to those who need it the most. When needs arise. throughout the year, we stand ready to help.

Mighty to Save Ministries- Supports those learning to live life outside of addiction by providing transitional housing, opportunities to give back to the community by volunteering, transportation to court appearances and outstanding legal obligations, financial counseling, mentoring and spiritual discipleship, assistance with resume writing; job interviewing; job searching; and more.
